Your "will" was made to do one thing--submit to God.
A little startling for this generation to accept.
Modern influencers want to be followed
without following.
But it began in the Garden,
this irritation with authority.
And it unravels in every generation...
a few brave souls rally the word "submit" in undergound meetings;
only to have it dashed to smithereens for being
old fashioned and archaic by
mobs of Christ "Followers".
Ironic.
You were made in His image,
and as such
your desire to be effective and productive
comes from Him.
But,
we can do much and it all be in vain;
Or little, and it bear much fruit.
It depends on if you rise
by kneeling.
How like the devil to deceive us.
If he can make forbidden fruit look good,
he can make submission look like slavery.
But it is part of God's upside down Kingdom.
Submit to Him and be empowered,
Run ahead of Him and be drained,
to death.
