Fierce Tho It Be

Life is intense and beautiful.

Sometimes it's a little too savage for the best of us.

I always wanted to write a book that combined

Pilgrim's Progress and Screwtape Letters

in a modern setting. Maybe someday.

For it would truly be the best description I have found for my life experience;

Heaven and Hell both hovering me in the peaks and valleys of life,

bidding me to do their will.

Maybe we can take the christian journey in breathable steps and

coach each other on the uphill climbs.

Definitely,we should sit before the Lord to renew our strength.

But there will be the occasional days when we land slide off into a cliff hanger;

just dangling by a thread, a rocky ravine below,

and hands to sweaty to hold on...

What then?

Shall we all just stare at life's extreme dangers with horror?

No doubt there is going to be a lot of wrestling on this pilgrim journey.

I hope to write my reflections, provide resources and make a place to share

beautiful nature moments that bring color along life's trail.

God is not afraid of our precipice moments or train wreck experiences.

Possibly, we are so accustomed to the screaming passions of our flesh and the devil,

that we no longer realize---there is a third party present, and we told Him to be silent.

So let's join our voices in inviting His presence to be seen, and known and heard.

Wake us, O Lord.

For fierce tho this life be, you are fiercer still.

Silence all others but yourself.

That we may journey as the bold and beautiful.

I look forward to the adventure with you.

Let's encourage one another to take a step farther and higher.
